Not much to share with ya tonight. I DID do a paper layout for a challenge but I gotta wait til tomorrow cuz I don't really feel much like running all over the house and trying to find a spot well lit enough tonight. Call me lazy, I don't mind.....lol. I'm not really even all that sure I like it anyway so I will sleep on it and if I hate it in the morning, which has happened before, I will go ahead and redo it. Ain't it strange how what seems like a wildly creative idea at 11:30 pm suddenly turns into an "OMG what did I do" kinda thing the next day ? Surely I am not the only one this happens too!
Since I couldn't share that one with you tonight I found a really cool challenge over at Scrapjacked. Street art is the inspiration and the idea is to make a layout from that inspiration. So....since some of you know I have just recently gotten back into paper scrapping. I don't have all of the cool glitters and mists and doohickies some people use and make such awesome layouts with. I have paper and glue.....lol. And whatever I find around the house that looks cool. Believe it or not I have a piece of bubble wrap saved that I am convinced will be the perfect addition to the right layout....yeah, I am driving my family crazy.....lol. So I did it digi yet again. And again I apologize to the powers that be over at Scrapjacked if this isn't allowed. But I figured since they are giving away a digi kit as the prize for this one it would be ok. See, I can rationalize anything......lol. I kept it kinda simple...much like a true layout with just a touch of the street art feel added. I love these grungy, funky kinda kits for the boys scrap pages. I can still get away with the really cute stuff with Jesse since he is just 5 but the others....ehhhhhhh....they want cool pages. Jacob likes to share his stuff on his facebook and myspace and if it passes his inspection and makes it online it's an ok job.....lol. If it actually makes it as a profile photo......it's a lot like winning the lottery....lol.
But this page is Jesse and Brandon. Brandon is 9 and they go to the same school. Every afternoon we leave from there and go sit across from the middle school, less than a block away, and wait for about 45 minutes for Steven to get out of school. These photos are pretty typical of what I deal with in the car daily. Fun huh? And LOUD!!! These photos were taken with my cell phone so I am kinda surprised they are as good as they are.
So there ya have my take on the challenge :) It's all digital, created in PSP X and its one of those rare occasions where I used jsut one kit....I usually use bits and peices from several to get the look I want. I really like this one! This kit is called "Cause and Effect" a collab by Julie Billingsly and Lauren Grier. Font I used is Pea bandit.
It was a lot of fun to put together!!
Thanks for lettin me into your computers for a bit!
Maybe tomorrow will be a good day for taking pix!!! I sure hope so...I have lots to share!!!
Ya'll have a good night!
