Sharing some creative scrappers layouts!

Hellooooo and Happy Thursday!!!! It is Thursday right? I tell ya, since the kids have been out of school I have lost all concept of what day it is and having a holiday weekend doesn't help matters  We are having a great summer so far...... minimal drama, which is always good!!! We haven't really left the house a lot, juxt kinda hanging out at home and catching up on stuff here.  Today my older boys are watching Austin Powers and a couple of the others are out garbage picking.....or as we like to call it, redneck yard  A neighbor has sat a lot of stuff out at the road that was leftover from a yard sale we didn't even know he the boys are running up there to grab a stereo and a huge box of cassettes.  I'm amazed they even know what a cassette  Free stuff is always good!!! If it actually works I will take photos of it and share tomorrow....they are for sure their mamas sons!!

Ok......on to the scrappiness!! I was overflowing with mojo yesterday and created 4 layouts!! Some kinda record for me I think :)  And I got outside to get these pics today just before it clouded up.....and my ankle is hurtin like the dickens so it's gonna rain soon!

Both layouts today a created from Creative Scrappers sketches.  This month I love most all of them! For the first one I used CS Sketch 210
Yet another one featuring my 16 yr old Jacob.  As most of you know he is very active in NJROTC.......this coming school year he will be a Senior and he WAS slated to be a Lt/XO(executive officer) but a really stupid prank happened towards the end of the school year and resulted in one kid getting expelled , Jacob getting suspended for 8 days AND dropped down in rank. Really LONGGGGGG story and we all know my posts are long  But I know he learned a thing or two about who to hang with and who not to.....and he realizes how something stupid can destroy your dream.  He has wanted to be XO since started NJROTC. As one of the NJROTC teachers (retired military) told him , all it takes is ome "Ohhhhhh shit" moment to wipe out a whole school year of "way to gos!!" A hard lesson to learn when you are 16.......but better now than later in life!!  Anyway........his dream is to go to the military after high school.  That's pretty much all he has ever wanted to do....that or be a rock star.......LOL.  This photo is of his platoon doing color guard at a ball game this past year.
I used Bazzill for the base and the papers, stickers and flags are from a Reminisince kit I won last year.  I am so proud of myself for getting rid of some older stash!!! The letters are of course Thckers :) I stayed pretty close to he sketch I think.

I am also entering this one in the following challenges:
Craft your days away Color challenge, red, white and blue
One stitch at a time: Color challenge, red white and blue (not a typo, both of these are color challenges)
All about me challenge blog May challenge "My dream for me/you" included some small MLS letter journaling on the photo

Next up is CS sketch 208
And my take using a photo from the water park last summer....Jesse and Brandon.
Again, using up some older stash goodies! American Crafts white cardstock, the DPs are all Cosmo Crickets Snorkle collection and it was the very first thing I EVER won when I started  The brads are a new acquisition from MME ( have the WHOLE collctiion and can't wait to scrap with it!!) The title is made from stickers from Snorkle and MLS, the arrow is also from Snorkle, and everything else is either Pink Paislee or American Crafts.  Last night I wasn't thrilled with this one......I still think it's missing something....I might add some paint around the edges or something.

In addition to CS I am sharing this one at DYSU under the sea challenge :)

Ohhhhhhhhh!!!  Just got confirmation that the stereo DOES work!! Brandon and Jesse are tickled to have one of their own in their room!!  And they scored some cool picture frames for mom to revamp!!! I think they have earned home made treats tonight!!!! :)

Have a great day and please come visit me again soon!!!

Hugs n stuff!

poor boy but hopefully a good lesson learned before he hits the military. He does look so handsome in uniform, great Lo as well.

Fun to delve back into cassettes - my kids look at them like there out of the dark ages- even CD's are a bit old school for them. But mix tapes bring back so many cool memeories...
